Spanish giants Barcelona could cut short their ties with France international Ousmane Dembele in January, according to press reports. The World Cup winner cost the La Liga champs about £100 million just a year and half ago when they lured him away from Borussia Dortmund, but are not ready to cut their losses on him.

The 21-year old has had complaints about his attitude for some time now, and in fact he had the same issues when he was playing in Germany, with the Chief Executive Officer singling him out for his poor time-keeping, enthusiasm in training, and lengthy breaks.  It seems that the Catalan side has decided to take the step of putting the player on the market when the transfer window re-opens in January, with the hope of generating some funds to finance other player acquisitions. German Bundesliga side RB Leipzig agreed to a deal to release their star man Naby Keita to Liverpool next season after the Merseyside club triggered the player’s release clause. The player only joined in 2016 and the clause was expected to come into play next summer. Mintzlaff said he did not expect Liverpool to meet their expectations but when they did, Leipzig could no longer refuse. Read More

The Bundesliga club is reluctant in selling their star but the Merseyside could force their hand with £70 million. As Liverpool remained undeterred in getting a worthy addition, they also face a risk of losing one of theirs, with French side Paris St Germain insistent on luring Brazilian sensation Philippe Coutinho from Anfield. The playmaker netted 13 league goals last season despite being out injured. His creativity has made a difference for the club since he joined. He agreed to new terms earlier this year so Liverpool have a good hold of him but PSG are focused on luring him. Read More
