Liverpool have struggled to produce players good enough for the first team in recent years and the same can be said for young talents signed from other clubs but Polish attacker Musialowski could be different after he broke an eight-year record in the youth team earlier this year. Musialowski joined Liverpool from SMS Lodz in his native Poland last summer. England international right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold is the only Liverpool Academy graduate that has gone on to make a big impact in the first team in recent years though big things are expected from midfielder Curtis Jones who has featured in the first team over the last two seasons.

On talents signed from other clubs, England junior international Harvey Elliott is in line to get his chance with the first team this season after a successful loan spell at Blackburn Rovers in the English Championship last season and the aforementioned Musialowski is not far behind after a stellar first season in the Liverpool youth team. Liverpool signed Elliott from Fulham two years ago and he is close to becoming a regular with the first team squad.

Musialowskiattracted the interest of clubs like Ajax Amsterdam in the Dutch Eredivisie, German club RB Leipzig and North London outfit Arsenal before the Reds snapped him up last year and he has already showed glimpses of his quality at Liverpool after his solo goal against Newcastle u-18s won the best goal award at Liverpool in March 2021 thereby breaking a record that has been in existence for eight years. Since 2013, only first team players had won the best goal award until Musialowski emerged as its recipient in March.
