Andy Robertson Faces Criticism From Gary Neville

The newly crowned champions Liverpool was beaten by Manchester City in their first match after becoming title winners. Gary Neville has especially criticised Liverpool defender Andy Robertson performancein the pitch regarding Thursday’s match. Reds were crowned champions last week with the loss of Manchester City to Chelsea and this was their first title in 30 years. In the first half of the match at EtihadStadium, City led the score for 3–0 and another one was added by Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain as a self-goal.

The goals were scored by Kevin De Bruyne, Raheem Sterling and Phil Fodenand this was the first time Liverpool has fallen in the first half since the match against Stoke City on 2015 where the score was 6–1.

Matip Unavailable For The Remaining 2019-2020 Season Due to Injury

Liverpool defender Joel Matip will be missing out the rest of 2019-2020 season due to foot injury. He suffered the injury in the match against Everton where Liverpool ended the game with a tie. He played on the pitch for 73 minutes but later was pulled off and Dejan Lovren was introduced as the replacement for him. As he is injured,Joe Gomez has been deployed in the centre back section along with Virgil Van Dijk.

This may be followed by Klopp till the end of the season but as they have won the Premier League title this may allow him to do a little experimentation on the team formation.The victory will let Liverpool to not take any unnecessary risks,as this indicates Matip will be given more time to recover from the injury. Bayern Munich defender Niklas Sule has acclaimed Virgil Van Dijk as the best defender in the world.

Liverpool’s Van Dijk was signed from Southampton for £75 million in January transfer window of 2018. It was record-breaking transfer money made for a defender. He has been a great contributor to Liverpool and has been a major part in the title victory of Champions League. In 2019, he was named as UEFA’s Men’s player of the year and was runner up in Ballon d’Or award and FIFA Men’s player of the year.


German defender Sule says that Dijk is the best defender in the world and is hoping to follow his steps. Klopp: Philippe Coutinho won’t be sold

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has iterated that Philippe Coutinho will not be sold to Barcelona during this summer’s transfer window.


The Brazil international has been repeatedly linked with a move to the Camp Nou with compatriot Neymar also publicly stating that he would welcome the attacker to Catalunya.
