So far it’s been a season of stuttering starts and flashes of brilliance, of disruption, injuries and disappointments. Thankfully that’s all about to change, with key players returning to action (and hopefully form) as the big games pile up. It doesn’t get much bigger than Real Madrid, but we also have Chelsea too before our next issue. With last year’s slip-up in mind, we also ask whether Gerrard is a solution or one of the problems. It’s our first issue of the new season, which means we’ve got a lot to fit in! We take a look back over how the summer has gone for us – and we question whether we’re actually better off without a certain Uruguayan. We were so close! If we’d have only managed to get away wins at Hull or Crystal Palace, or even managed to hold firm against a Chelsea team that came to do everything but score… If only! Still, when we look back on the season just gone we have to be happy with the progress we’ve made, the goals we’ve scored, the players we’ve seen mature, and the attacking football on show. So many positives! We also take a look at the negatives in this issue, and see where we can correct them! Should keep you busy enough until the World Cup kicks off! YNWA

We also have one eye on the future as we assess how well the seaon has gone for young guns Coutinho and Flanagan, plus the usuals and much, much more!

Will we do it? 12 games to go and this is where luck, goals and squad depth come into their own! We take a closer look at whats achievable, whether we have the squad to deal with the pressure, and whether we should be giving more credit to Daniel Sturridge for his goalscoring feats – he is positively overlooked when a certain Uruguayan is on the pitch! And much, much more!
